Visions in Silver Introduction
Visions in silver is not my favorite so far out of all the books we’ve read so far. It seems like a longer read and there’s a lot of confusing things going on in the story. You have to keep track of all the characters and interactions and everything going on behind the scenes as well. It’s not a bad book but it is long and being the third one, I don’t know if i'm missing much information but it feels like there is a lot more background knowledge I could have before jumping into this one. The story so far is really nice, I like the kinds of characters like the blood prophets, Others, humans, and anything in between. It has many diverse characters and they all interact with everything in the world differently. The author has made up this world in her head and we are diving into it and seeing and listening to the story she is creating and she does a good job and describing and really painting the picture in your head of everything that is going on. “If the Others find you, they’ll kill you and the baby.” (55). It’s terrible to think that the people who are releasing them all over are telling them these lies to make them fear the others. Some are committing suicide to not get caught and are on the run the whole time. When in fact the Others are the leading group to help and find these blood prophets. I like the Others, they’re my favorite group or kind of people. It’s cool they can take the form of humans and also be kinds of animals, it really makes them likeable and gives them many personalities.
